I’m sure if you have been reading for the past few weeks you are aware I had my last two wisdom teeth removed Friday. The procedure went well and my first recovery day was a piece of cake. It wasn’t until Saturday and Sunday that I encountered a lot more swelling and pain. I understand the importance of pain killers! I hope to be fully recovered by the end of the week.

The surgery was over by noon on Friday and I was home by 12:30. The nurse kept urging my mom to pick up milkshakes for me, so I succumbed and let my mom drive through Wendy’s to stock up on a few frostys. I was super adamant to keep healthy habits in check this weekend and prevented a full diet of ice cream, frozen yogurt and mashed potatoes. Even so, I ate a few bites of a chocolate frosty to have something in my stomach before my first painkiller and then dozed off until about 2 p.m.
The rest of the day, I dozed, watched TV and read blogs. Around 6, Ryan came over to cheer me up with a bright bouquet of flowers. How thoughtful! I ate plain pasta shells with butter for dinner while the rest of the family dined on pizza. Then Ryan and I watched Paranormal Activity 3. (He got me into watching the series. Now I only have the fourth one left to watch.)
It was hard to sleep on Friday night. I fell asleep at 4 and woke up at 8:30. I took my medicine and had some yogurt to wash it down. It wasn’t until lunchtime when I had my first meal of eggs with spinach and kale.
I then persuaded my mom to take a walk with me and get some fresh air. We walked about a mile and a half. It was such a beautiful day outside!
Saturday, I watched a movie called ‘The Switch’ with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. It satisfied my movie crave, but that was about it. I also crafted for some upcoming events. I was able to sleep through the night Saturday until I awoke at 6 a.m. Sunday throbbing in pain. It took some time in the morning for the pain to subside. Once it did, I felt a little more cheery.
I also experimented with a handful of smoothie recipes this weekend. It was important to me that I kept filling my body with vitamins while I’m recovering from the procedure. Even though it’s nice to indulge in pasta and frostys, you can’t have too much of a good thing.
Have you seen the show Girls? What do you think of it?
I really can’t decide how to describe my feelings for the show. I watch it because I’m interested and intrigued. I also love Brian Williams’ daughter and feel like I understand the situations each character goes through.

Hope you are feeling 100 percent better this week for sure girl!
I have not watched GIRLS yet but have been meaning to! So many good shows I hear that are great and need to watch, not enough time!!
Thank you! Maybe you will have some time to watch when you’re at home after your new little one comes!
I LOVED getting my wisdom teeth out! I was lucky enough to be virtually pain-free the entire time, and just vegged out for 3 days.
(The chipmunk cheeks did set in around day 2 or 3 though…)
Hope your recovery is quick and painless!!!
P.S. Frosy’s are amazing. Excellent choice!!
Lucky you were pain-free! I’m not a fan of the chimpmunk look I’ve been rocking for the third day straight… I was tricked on the first day!
Sending many prayers your way. Hoping your almost back to 100%
